All posts by Daisies At Dawn

I'm Daisy. Daisy the dancer. But I'm also Daisy the blogger, Daisy the massage therapist, Daisy the writer, Daisy the nanny (yes, yes, believe it or not, people entrust me with their small children)... I don't know if you can tell, but I like to keep busy. If you're reading this, I can only assume you stumbled upon my blog site somehow as a happy accident (lucky you)! I can also assume that there's a 95% chance you are in the dancing, performance or fitness industry (or something similar). Why do I make this assumption? Well, it makes sense; dance, fitness and health are all things I know and love - which of course urges me to write about them! So I'm guessing it was this kind of content which prompted you to click on a like and to take a peek at my blog (which is basically like looking directly in to my brain - I write what I think, like word vomit on a page!). However, I could be completely wrong and you could be a muggle (non stagey folk) and it was one of my other articles that caught your eye - because sometimes I do like to branch out a little! Anyway, don't let me keep you, feel free to continue your explorations! I would also not object to any liking, sharing or following you feel inclined to do, so please, by all means, like, share and follow away! Ooooh and also, if you do wan't to get in touch, for whatever reason, don't hesitate to do that either! Big thanks to anyway who is reading and supporting me, to you, I am truly grateful! Huge love, hugs, world peace and All That Jazz (ooof, horrible pun!) to you all, Daisy x Daisy x

Roaming In Rome

First of all, sorry not sorry for the hideous title. It was unavoidable. I solemnly swear that I am up to no good  going to visit more European cities this year. I'm 24 - it is the age of the city breaks. I didn't really understand them when I was younger, like, give me a beach ...

Top Things To Do In New Zealand (South Island)

If you're anything like me, you're a bit lastminute.com when it comes to planning your activities on your travel journeys. Like, you'll have some sort of idea but no solid plan so when you arrive it's straight to Google. "Things to do in...". So hopefully when you find yourself in the South Island, this little ...

My Kiwi Experience

Is it possible to fall in love with a country? Because I think I did just that. Some of you may or may not know (if you follow me on social media then you definitely will know, there was no escaping it - soz) that for the past month I have been road tripping around ...

Finding Florence

Despite only spending 1 full day in Florence (it was supposed to be two, but that’s an entirely different drama which you can read about here) it quickly became my favourite city and I cannot wait to go back (maybe in slightly warmer weather). Every street you walk down holds a secret, the buildings are wondrous ...

The 16 Hour Trek To Italy: A Movie Moment

My life is filled with several disasters and unbelievable events that couldn’t be better if you wrote them. But they aren’t written - they are actual, real things that happen to me. So from time to time I like to share these moments with you guys! Here’s a little story about my disastrous journey to ...

The Camping Diaries Of A London Girl – part 2!

Did you know, scorpions are fluorescent in ultraviolet light? No? Well I wish I didn't know that either. Because the only reason I found that out was when we got cornered by one the other night - okay it's pretty cool but, ew, scorpions. Anyway, I survived! And I'm sure that's not the last one ...

The Camping Diaries Of A London Girl: Africa Edition

Camping - it's not for everyone. When I told people I was going on a 19 day camping trip across Africa, from those that know me well, I got a similar response. "Camping? You? That's not a very Daisy thing to do!". And they are right, I wouldn't call myself a total snob but I ...

Keeping fit in Cape Town

I kick started my 6 week African Adventure off with a short but sweet stay in the beautiful Cape Town. I promise you - this place is one for the bucket list. A city with everything - one minute you're in the mountains, the next you're along the beach, and then you find yourself in ...

Thoughts We All Have During Yoga

Yoga. The perfect ‘you’ time. As soon as you are on that mat, you can cleanse yourself of any negative thoughts, focus on your practice and breathing, and leave feeling elevated and at peace. Well - that’s how it should be anyway. In reality, the entire class is spent with a million and one busy ...
